HAPPY 2ND SHINEEVERSARY.

Just going to post a short post here :)

Happy 2nd SHINeeversary! :)

It's their second year since they debuted. To be true, I never know them before until March 2010. At first, I thought they were all very lame, boring, and other kind of bad things I could think of. Well, you'll never know something until you figure it out. I found that they are all very supportive to one another, among themselves of course :p they are always giving their best to make their fans happy. To be true, placing yourself in their situation is not as easy as you think. They need to work hard, and if they make a single mistake, everyone will know. Overall, they have been such a very hard working group.

Sleeping only 6 hours a day isn't easy. Especially dealing with sweats for the rest of the 18 hours left. See? Being an artist need a lot of sacrifices, especially a world-wide known artist. They cry of how they miss their family. There's no time for them to really relax, do you ever realize? So what I'm saying is that no matter how bad an artist is, I think we all should appreciate everything they've done. Imagine you're one of them. Do you think you can survive?

Long live SHINee! :D

Sealed with a smile,

Careers in Geosciences

Geoscientists follow paths of exploration and discovery in quest of solutions to some of society's most challenging problems.

  • Predicting the behavior of Earth systems and the universe.
  • Finding adequate supplies of natural resources, such as ground water, petroleum, and metals.
  • Conserving soils and maintaining agricultural productivity.
  • Developing natural resources in ways that safeguard the environment.
  • Maintaining quality of water supplies.
  • Reducing human suffering and property loss from natural hazards, such as volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, floods, landslides, hurricanes, and tsunamis.
  • Determining geological controls on natural environments and habitats and predicting the impact of human activities on them.
  • Defining the balance between society's demand for natural resources and the need to sustain healthy ecosystems.
  • Understanding global climate patterns.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What is a GEOSCIENTIST?

Geoscientists are stewards or caretakers of Earth's resources and environment. They work to understand natural processes on Earth and other planets. Investigating the Earth, its soils, oceans, and atmosphere; forecasting the weather; developing land-use plans; exploring other planets and the solar system; determining environmental impacts; and finding new sources of useful Earth materials are just a few of the ways geoscientists contribute to our understanding of Earth processes and history. Geoscientists provide essential information for solving problems and establishing governmental policies for resource management; environmental protection; and public health, safety, and welfare.

Geoscientists are curious about the Earth and the solar system. Is there life on other planets? How are they changing? What effects will shrinking glaciers have on the oceans and climate? What makes a continent move, a mountain form, a volcano erupt? Why did the dinosaurs become extinct?

Geoscientists are concerned about the Earth. How is the global climate changing? How do Earth systems work? How and where should we dispose of industrial wastes? How can society's growing demands for energy and water be satisfied while conserving natural resources for future generations? As global populations increase, can we grow enough food and fiber to sustain them?

The Earth is an outdoor laboratory filled with opportunities to observe Earth processes in action. By applying their knowledge of forces and factors that shape the Earth, geoscientists seek to reconstruct the past and anticipate the future.

What Do GEOSCIENTISTS Do?

Geoscientists gather and interpret data about the Earth and other planets. They use their knowledge to increase our understanding of Earth processes and to improve the quality of human life. Their work and career paths vary widely because the geosciences are so broad and diverse. The National Science Foundation considers geology, geophysics, hydrology, oceanography, marine science, atmospheric science, planetary science, meteorology, environmental science, and soil science as the major geoscience disciplines. The following list gives a glimpse of what geoscientists do in these disciplines and a variety of subdisciplines.

Atmospheric scientists study weather processes; the global dynamics of climate; solar radiation and its effects; and the role of atmospheric chemistry in ozone depletion, climate change, and pollution.

Economic geologists explore for and develop metallic and nonmetallic resources; they study mineral deposits and find environmentally safe ways to dispose of waste materials from mining activities.

Engineering geologists apply geological data, techniques, and principles to the study of rock and soil surficial materials and ground water; they investigate geologic factors that affect structures such as bridges, buildings, airports, and dams.

Environmental geologists study the interaction between the geosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere, biosphere, and human activities. They work to solve problems associated with pollution, waste management, urbanization, and natural hazards, such as flooding and erosion.

Geochemists use physical and inorganic chemistry to investigate the nature and distribution of major and trace elements in ground water and Earth materials; they use organic chemistry to study the composition of fossil fuel (coal, oil, and gas) deposits.

Geochronologists use the rates of decay of certain radioactive elements in rocks to determine their age and the time sequence of events in the history of the Earth.

Geologists study the materials, processes, products, physical nature, and history of the Earth.

Geomorphologists study Earth's landforms and landscapes in relation to the geologic and climatic processes and human activities, which form them.

Geophysicists apply the principles of physics to studies of the Earth's interior and investigate Earth's magnetic, electric, and gravitational fields.

Glacial geologists study the physical properties and movement of glaciers and ice sheets.

Hydrogeologists study the occurrence, movement, abundance, distribution, and quality of subsurface waters and related geologic aspects of surface waters.

Hydrologists are concerned with water from the moment of precipitation until it evaporates into the atmosphere or is discharged into the ocean; for example, they study river systems to predict the impacts of flooding.

Marine geologists investigate the ocean-floor and ocean-continent boundaries; they study ocean basins, continental shelves, and the coastal environments on continental borders.

Meteorologists study the atmosphere and atmospheric phenomena, including the weather.

Mineralogists study mineral formation, composition, and properties.

Oceanographers investigate the physical, chemical, biological, and geologic dynamics of oceans.

Paleoecologists study the function and distribution of ancient organisms and their relationships to their environment.

Paleontologists study fossils to understand past life forms and their changes through time and to reconstruct past environments.

Petroleum geologists are involved in exploration for and production of oil and natural gas resources.

Petrologists determine the origin and natural history of rocks by analyzing mineral composition and grain relationships.

Planetary geologists study planets and their moons in order to understand the evolution of the solar system.

Sedimentologists study the nature, origin, distribution, and alteration of sediments, such as sand, silt, and mud. Oil, gas, coal and many mineral deposits occur in such sediments.

Seismologists study earthquakes and analyze the behavior of earthquake waves to interpret the structure of the Earth.

Soil scientists study soils and their properties to determine how to sustain agricultural productivity and to detect and remediate contaiminated soils.

Stratigraphers investigate the time and space relationships of rocks, on a local, regional, and global scale throughout geologic time -- especially the fossil and mineral content of layered rocks.

Structural geologists analyze Earth's forces by studying deformation, fracturing, and folding of the Earth's crust.

Volcanologists investigate volcanoes and volcanic phenomena to understand these natural hazards and predict eruptions.

Where Do GEOSCIENTISTS Work?

Geoscientists may be found sampling the deep ocean floor or examining rock specimens from the Moon or Mars. But the work of most geoscientists is more "down to Earth." They work as explorers for new mineral and hydrocarbon resources, consultants on engineering and environmental problems, researchers, teachers, writers, editors, and museum curators as well as in many other challenging positions. They often divide their time among work in the field, the laboratory, and the office.

Field work usually consists of making observations, exploring the subsurface by drilling or using geophysical tools, collecting samples, and making measurements that will be analyzed in the laboratory. For example, rock samples may be X-rayed, studied under an electron microscope, and analyzed to determine physical and chemical properties. Geoscientists may also conduct experiments or design computer models to test theories about geologic phenomena and processes.

In the office, they integrate field and laboratory data and prepare reports and presentations that include maps and diagrams that illustrate the results of their studies. Such maps may pinpoint the possible occurrence of ores, coal, oil, natural gas, water resources, or indicate subsurface conditions or hazards that might affect construction sites or land use.

Job and Salary OUTLOOK

The employment outlook in the geosciences -- as in any profession -- varies with the economic climate of the country. The long-range outlook is good at this time. Dwindling energy, mineral, and water resources along with increasing concerns about the environment and natural hazards present new challenges to geoscientists.

According to the National Science Foundation, about 125,000 geoscientists work in the United States. Most geoscientists are employed by industries related to oil and gas, mining and minerals and water resources.

Many geoscientists are self-employed as geological consultants or work with consulting firms. Most consulting geologists have had extensive professional experience in industry, teaching, or research.

Also, many geoscientists work for the federal government or a state government agency. The U.S. Geological Survey (Department of the Interior), Department of Energy, Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, state geological surveys, and state departments of environment and resources all employ geoscientists.

Salary scales vary from employer to employer depending on the career path, location, qualifications of the geoscientist, and, of course, the economy.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), jobs in the geosciences are expected to grow by 22 percent between 2006 and 2016. This is a much faster increase in employment tha the average for all occupations. Geoscientists with Master's degrees are expected to have the most employment opportunites of all degreed geoscientists.

Salary estimates released by BLS for 2008 indicated that the mean annual salary for geoscientists was $89,300. Geoscientists in the petroleum and mining industries earned the highest salaries ($95,200 - $130,620) and those in state government earned the least ($59,830). Geoscientist faculty earned a mean annual salary of $74,770 in 2008. Additionally, according to the National Association of Colleges and Employers, average starting salaries for college graduates with geoscience bachelor's degrees were $40,786 in 2007.

INTERESTED?

A strong interest in science and a good education are the most important elements in becoming a geoscientist. The geosciences draw on biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics, and engineering. High school courses related to these subjects plus a geology or earth-science course, or an integrated science curriculum, will help prepare you for college. Also, get a solid grounding in English, because geoscientists need to be able to write and speak clearly.

In choosing a college or university, look at the course listings for departments of geology, geoscience, earth-systems science, or environmental science to identify the geoscience programs that best match your interests. As in any profession, the applicants with the best qualifications get the best jobs. Most professional positions in the geosciences require a master's degree. A Ph.D. is needed for advancement in college teaching and in most high-level research positions.

STORY TELLING SCRIPT (FINAL).

If I had $1,000,000

Good afternoon everyone! Thank you for giving me the chance to stand here and share my story to all of you. But before that, I am going to introduce myself. I am Talitha Yohana and I am in the 8th grade in Methodist-2. I’m going to tell you guys what I would do with $1,000,000 money that I had.

What would most people do if they had $1,000,000? Probably they would go partying with their friends, so would I, but let’s put others priority first. I believe that everyone wants to be rich, but richness is not a guarantee to happiness. However, if you use it the right way, it will really bring you happiness. The happiness I mean is not only self happiness, but it might bring happiness to others too. And that will make us happier. If I had $1,000,000, as I am a Christian, I would thank God for letting me receive His blessing by paying my tithes. That is the first thing I’d like to do.

And then, I would do something for my city, I want to improve my own city. I want to clear all the beggars on the street, especially the young ones. If I had $1,000,000, I would not only help the poor by giving them money. I want them to be educated, but only for those who want. There’s no point of giving free education if they didn’t want to study at all. For me, giving them education is more important rather than just giving them money. For example, if we help them by only giving them money without education, once the money is all used, they will not know what to do and they will be in the same condition as before. I would also like to give them nutritious food to eat. The happiness they got will surely bring me happiness too. Looking at their smiles would draw a bigger smile on my face. I would also like to teach them about courtesy. I don’t mean to blacken anyone here, but in my opinion, people nowadays should be taught to be polite, have mutual understanding, and discipline.

Also, I would like to help them to know what they want to be by now. I think they must set goals for their life, so that they know which direction they will go. By that, they will not be lost in their own life. For me, success is moving towards goals everyday in every way, and I want them to realize it. I don’t want to see them living without goals because they are poor and they think that they don’t have the power and ability to do anything to reach that goal. I know that deep inside each and everyone of them, they want to be better one day, to be something, but maybe some of them have been weakened by the situation they are in. Maybe making them realize to be able to reach their goals will be one of my greatest achievements. No matter what they are now, they must succeed in their future life. Because one day they will be the one who continues living in this world. The only hope of tomorrow is no one else, but them. For this world to be better, start from the smallest part, the children.

Thirdly, I would like to spend it on my family; especially my parents who had spend a lot amount of money on me. Not only money, but also time. I would give them money for them to spend on anything they want to buy. I would also like to take my family, consist of my parents, my siblings, and I to have a vacation to Europe and meet our family there. And from there, we would travel to other city in Europe by a large and luxurious cruise. Relaxing and having fun should be the thing we do. It should be a month full of laughter and family moments.

Not to be left out, I would like to take my siblings to Disneyland Resort in Europe. Let them be happy for the whole day. Since my brother loves reading books so much, I would bring him to the best bookstore and let him choose the books he wanted to buy. My younger sister loves to play piano a lot, and maybe it would be great if I brought her to a piano concert, she would be very amazed by then. I would also like to save for their education fees until they graduated.

Well, the things I’ve listed above are more about others rather than me. Now, I would like to tell the list of things I wanted to spend on. I would like to spend the rest of it on my interest, like taking pictures. I would buy different types of camera, such as lomo, Polaroid, and many more. I would also use it for my tuitions fees, especially singing because I would like to learn vocal from a professional so it must be very expensive. Learning languages is also considered. I love learning languages from all around the world. I found it very interesting to learn languages.
I’m sure that I still got money left after doing the things up there. What should I do with it? Well, I would probably just save it for my future life or even donate it to charity.

In conclusion, if I’m asked whether I would like to receive $1,000,000. The answer is I would not reject it. But like I said before, I must know how to use it appropriately. I think if I ever receive that big amount of money, I want it to be a blessing to others too. I would like to share my happiness not only with my family and my friends, but also with the one who needs it. Friends don’t really need our help, so they would not be as thankful as the poor ones. The happiness we got should be different if we share it.

Those are the things that I would do if I had $1,000,000. I’m really grateful that I can share my thought and my opinion with all of you. I hope you enjoy my story. Thank you for your time and attention. Have a great Sunday everyone!

THE NAME I LOVED. ♥

I want to share a translation lyric with all of you. Well, when you really feel of the meaning of this song, you will cry. I bet, m a y b e :p I've shared this song before in this post, it's a korean song, but I picked the translated lyric :)

Both hands trembles as I remembered the cold love memories

Now it is getting weirder, I dont wish to reject you, but I just know that

No matter how close we are, I know that I can't love you anymore

I can't miss you; waiting for you makes me tired

I can't endure anymore and I can't realize this

The name I loved once in this life

Has becoming further and further away from me

I am writing your name on a paper and forever kept it in my heart

From that day I only realized that I will only loved you forever

Love that can't be together can also be known as Love

I can't handle the love memories and feelings alone

I can't start this, I can only miss you secretly in my heart

My heart only left your body fragrance that I missed and always loved

The name I loved once in this life

Has becoming further and further away from me

I am writing your name on a paper and forever kept it in my heart

From that day I only realized that I will only loved you forever

Love that can't be together can also be known as love

Kept remembering the first time I saw you walking towards me

And stolen an edge of my heart without noticing

The name I loved once in this life (Loved once in this life)

Has becoming further and further away from me

I am writing your name on a paper and forever kept it in my heart

From that day I only realized that I will only loved you forever

Even though it is not long, but my love for you will never change

The name I loved once in this life

Has becoming further and further away from me

I am writing your name on a paper and forever kept it in my heart

From that day I only realized that I will only loved you forever

INSPIRED.

Caught a bad flu :( maybe it's because of my tight schedule last week (LOL!), precisely Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, went straight to Briton for the semifinal's competition. It's 9.00 am until 1.00 pm. Then headed straight to Piaget (lunch - in car) for AKLTG coach training from 1.30 pm until 6.oo pm (actually it's from 9.oo am to 6.00 pm, but I should attend my semifinal's competition first). Went straight home, doing internet thing while waiting for the result of semifinal, slept at around 10.00 pm.

On Sunday, didn't got the chance to go to church because of AKLTG coach training Day 2 from 9.00 am until 5.00 pm. But on 3.30 pm, I was asked to give testimonial in Taipan Restaurant for AKLTG seminar. Then went back at 4.oo pm. Directly, having the AKLTG coach exam and finish at around 5.00 pm. While waiting for my dad to pick me up, took picture with Trainer Ricky (I didn't have the photos, it's in his blackberry phone), not with Amin since he went to replace Adam for the Seminar in Taipan that day. Then, went to Cambridge and have dinner. Went home at 8.00 pm, took shower blablabla then slept at 9.00 pm.

I can't even wake up properly this morning. I mean I'm very sleepy at school :/ well, now I'm here sharing my life story with all of you. Okay, let me introduce the trainers that trained me to be a coach for the past 2 days.

This is Antonius Ricky Surorso, Indonesian.

This one is Muhammad Amin Morni, Singaporean.

THANK GOD.

Yo peeps! I was tumblr-ing and I saw this. Actually, I've once read it through emails, but I forgot to share it to you guys. So this it...

AN INTERVIEW WITH GOD.

I dreamed I had an interview with God.

“Come in,” God said.

“So, you would like to interview Me?”

“If you have the time,” I said.

God smiled and said: “My time is eternity and is enough to do everything; What questions do you have in mind to ask me?”

“What surprises you most about mankind?”

God answered: “That they get bored of being children, are in a rush to grow up, and then long to be children again. That they lose their health to make money and then lose their money to restore their health. That by thinking anxiously about the future, they forget the present, such that they live neither for the present nor the future. That they live as if they will never die, and they die as if they had never lived.”

God’s hands took mine and we were silent for awhile and then I asked… “As a parent, what are some of life’s lessons you want your children to learn?”

God replied with a smile: “To learn that they cannot make anyone love them. What they can do is to let themselves be loved.

To learn that what is most valuable is not what they have in their lives, but who they have in their lives.

To learn that it is not good to compare themselves to others. All will be judged individually on their own merits, not as a group on a comparison basis!

To learn that a rich person is not the one who has the most, but is one who needs the least.

To learn that it only takes a few seconds to open profound wounds in persons we love, and that it takes many years to heal them.

Sealed with a smile,
talithayohana :)

To learn to forgive by practicing forgiveness.

To learn that there are persons that love them dearly, but simply do not know how to express or show their feelings.

To learn that money can buy everything but happiness.

To learn that two people can look at the same thing and see it totally different.

To learn that a true friend is someone who knows everything about them…and likes them anyway.

To learn that it is not always enough that they be forgiven by others, but that they have to forgive themselves.”

I sat there for awhile enjoying the moment.

I thanked Him for his time and for all that He has done for me and my family, and He replied, “Anytime. I’m here 24 hours a day. All you have to do is ask for me, and I’ll answer.”

FYI, I've done the semifinal today and guess what? I got in! Next Sunday I'll be telling story in Palladium Mall. It's the final one aaaaa D: OH GOD! Can't believe. Hope than I'm brave enough to stand in front of everybody :) wish me luck guys.

LOOK AROUND YOU.

Bonjour everyone! :)

How's everybody doing? Great? :D I've been doing quite well. I'm just going to share this important thing (for me) it's about this 4-letter world called l i f e

I agree with what Safira Nugroho posted yesterday. [CLICK HERE!]

Even though you're dying because of your problems in life, you're still lucky. Yang penting kan fakta nya lo belom mati. And the word "dying" comes from yourself, yes, YOU! For me, ngomong "I'm dying" ga terlalu gampang. Ga tau gue orang nya terlalu serius ato apa, tapi betul apa fira bilang "VALUE YOUR LIFE". No matter what happen, masih beruntung lo hidup. Orang sekarat pengen hidup, masa yang hidup pengen mati?

Terus mau bahas ini juga, dan menurut fira juga, yang gue setuju juga :p "THINK, AND REMEMBER THOSE PEOPLE". Like I've said before, you're lucky. Yes, compares to the people on streets, YOU'RE SO MUCH LUCKIER THAN THEM. So, wake up! Okay then, gotta go.

Wish me luck for tomorrow's semifinal ;)

STORY TELLING SCRIPT (SEMIFINAL).

My English Teacher

Good morning, everyone! I’m glad to have another chance to share another story of mine. Firstly, I would like to introduce myself. I am Talitha Yohana, and I’m from Methodist-2.

Do you guys know why I can stand in front of all of you right now? Probably it’s because of my English ability. But I believe that seed without water, soil, and sunlight will only be a seed forever. The same thing goes with ability in each person. I want to thank my English teacher for being the water of my ability. She’s the one who patiently taught me everything I need to know.

She’s kind, she’s pretty, she’s my best friend, she’s my English teacher, she’s Ms. Jun. She’s my mentor when I was in Primary 3. She taught me how to tie my shoelace when no one else had the time for that kind of simple thing. She’s the person who taught me “You are My Sunshine” song. Indeed, she brightened up my days. When the sky goes dark, she’s able to bring the shining light of sun to clear all my worries. And yes, to me she’s my sunshine who lights up my world.

Although she is a Singaporean, it was such a relief that she doesn’t speak like other Singaporean. Her English is really good. She showed me a lot of care. Not only to me, but to other students too. For me, she’s a fantastic English teacher and a fantastic friend.

I have a lot of memories with her. She once accompanied me to wait for my mom to pick me up. Before she came, I was so afraid if my mom forgets to pick me up, and the fact that I didn’t dare to ask for permission to borrow my school’s telephone. I was such a shy person when I was young. When she passed by me, she kindly asked me what I was doing as she could guess what I was thinking through my face expression. I didn’t answer her as I didn’t listen to her since I was so scared. That understanding teacher directly asked me for my mom’s phone number and rang my mom up. I didn’t know what she said to my mom. But when she ended the call, she asked me to wait for my mom and told me that my mom will be arriving soon. To be true, no one has ever done that kind of thing to me.

When my mom arrived at my school, my mom told me that she had to do something before picking me up and she was so sorry. Ms. Jun softly said to me that if that kind of situation happened again to me next time, I shouldn’t be afraid to ask for her help. I thanked her and finished my conversation with a smile.

That’s one of my experiences with her as my teacher. Like I mentioned before, she’s a friend to me too. There was one time when I had a refreshing with my classmates at Sun Plaza. We went there after a stressful school examination week. While walking, we met her with her son, Noah. We greeted her and by the time we saw that cute little baby boy, we played for a while with him. Suddenly, Ms. Jun asked whether we have eaten. We told her that we haven’t had lunch yet and we were just on our way to have one. She directly asked us to have a lunch with her and said that she was going to treat us at Seoul Garden. Of course my classmates and I didn’t want because we would only go if we paid by ourselves. She insisted to treat us, and there’s nothing we could possibly do. We felt a little awkward at first, but she told us to enjoy the food. While eating, we talked about the examination that we just did. Once in a while, we played with Noah. After all of us finished our lunch, Ms. Jun said that she was going to go home. Before she left, we thanked her. It was such a wonderful afternoon!

Everything I told you was my Primary moments with my English teacher, Ms. Jun. I’m very glad to meet her again in Secondary 1 as my English teacher. She was the one who prepared my classmates and I for Singapore International Primary School Leaving Examination (iPSLE). Because I didn’t manage to get an A for my English, I got a B, I was very upset that time, and she’s the one who cheered me up. But I was considered better than others. Some of my classmates cried for the bad results they got. All my appreciations went to her, for her efforts in teaching me with all of her heart.

Now, I’m in Methodist-2, so I was not able to meet her again. Sometimes, I phoned her because of missing her and asked how she was doing. From all teachers I have ever met, I have never met such a caring teacher. It’s not because I didn’t like other teachers, but it’s like she’s more special than others. She treats me like her own sister. She will not be forgotten, she gives me a great impression about her, and she gives me a point that teachers are not evil. Her advices are all in my head, it keeps me move forward. Ms. Jun is the best teacher that I have ever had.

That’s my entire story about my beloved and unforgettable English teacher. Thank you for your time and attention.

Sealed with a smile,
talithayohana :)

Dedicated to all Gaiman fans

I can believe things that are true and I can believe things that aren't true and I can believe things when nobody knows if they're true or not. I can believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny and Maryln Monroe and The Beatles and Elvis and Mister Ed. Listen- I believe people are perfectible and that knowledge is infinite, that the world is run by secret banking cartels and is visited by aliens on a regular basis, nice ones that look like wrinkley lemurs and bad ones who mutilate cattle and want our water and our women. I believe that the future sucks and I believe that the future rocks and I believe that one day White Buffalo woman is going to come back and kick everyone's ass. I believe that all men are just overgrown boys with deep problems communicating and that the decline in good sex in America is coincident with the decline in Drive-In movie theatres from state to state. I believe that all politicians are unprincipled crooks and I still believe that they are better than the alternative. I believe that California is going to sink into the sea when the big ones come, while Florida is going to dissolve into madness and aligators and toxic waste..I believe that antibacterial soap is destroying our resistance to dirt and disease so that one day we'll all wiped out by the common cold like the Martians in War of The Worlds. I believe that the greatest poets of the last century were Edith Sitwell and Don Marquis, that jade is dried dragon sperm, and that thousands of years ago in a former life I was a one-armed Siberian Shaman. I believe that Mankind's destiny lies in the stars, I believe that candy really did taste better when I was a kid, that it is aerodinamically impossible for a bumblebee to fly, that light is a wave and a particle, that there's a cat in a box somewhere who's alive and dead at the same time (although if they don't ever open the box to feed it it'll eventually just be two different kinds of dead) and that there are stars in the universe billions of years older than the universe itself. I believe in a personal god who cares about me and worries and oversees everything I do. I believe in an impersonal god who set the universe in motion and went off to hang with her girlfriends and doesn't even know that I'm alive. I believe in an empty and godless universe of causal chaos, background noise and sheer blind luck. I believe that anyone who says sex is overrated just hasn't done it properly. I believe that anyone who claims to know what's going on will lie about the little things too. I believe in absolute honesty and sensible social lies. I believe in a woman's right to choose, a baby's right to live, that while all human life is sacred there's nothing wrong with the death penalty if you can trust the legal system implicity, and that no one but a moron would ever trust the legal system. I believe that life is a game, life is a cruel joke and that life is what happens when you're alive and that you might as well lie back and enjoy it.

BE GRATEFUL.

Do any of you remember an Indonesian series movie called "Buku Harian Nayla"? I bet you do. FYI, it's copied from a Japanese series called "1 Litre of Tears". You should ask me where I get this info from, ey? :p I was googling Yiruma's River Flows in You, and one person made a video based on that movie using the music of River Flows in You. Indeed, I cried 1 litre of tears. I should buy this movie aaaaa.

Movie review:
The plot is based on the true story of a Japanese girl named Kito Aya, who had the same disease. She kept writing in her diary to remember her experiences until she could no longer hold a pen. Aya simply wished to live until the end of her life, and the purpose of writing in the diary was to remind herself to not give up. She shed tears many times, at the same time encompassed by the rich love and support from her family, friends, and boyfriend. Her diary “1 Litre of Tears” was published after her death, because of its inspiring and courageous message of

“Just being alive is such a lovely and wonderful thing.”

SOS!

God, do you hear my prayer every night? It has been the same prayer since yesterday, a week ago, a month ago, or maybe a year ago? I've waited long. I long to see what's goona happen. But nothing change. I still hope for the best and will always do. I believe that what You've planned for us are all the best. I still keep on waiting... I'll still keep my faith in You :)

I once shouted but no one heard.
I once asked but no one answered.
I once cried but no one came.
I once pleaded but no one cared.
Now I realized, it should be Him
I shouted, asked, cried, and pleaded.

STORY TELLING SCRIPT (AUDITION).

Unforgettable Experience

Good morning, all judges and my beloved friends. Well, today I would like to share one of my unforgettable experiences. It was when I joined a Singapore motivation programme called Adam Khoo Learning and Technology Group. I joined this programme in 2007, about 3 years ago. It took place at Tiara Hotel, Brastagi. At first, I was tortured to join this program, my parents have paid for it, and so it’s a must for me to go, no matter what.

First, my parents dropped me at Piaget, it’s where the participants gathered together, and we all went to Brastagi by bus. By the time we arrived there, the coaches welcomed us by cheering us up. The music they turned on was unleashing our joy. Some of the coaches were from Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia. It was the first year for the programme to be held in Medan.

We spent four days and three nights there. The first day of the programme, we were divided into groups and each team was handled by a coach. The trainer that year was Muhammad Amin, he’s a Singaporean. He’s a man who is full of jokes, yet he is very brilliant. We had to start at 7 am in the morning and finish at around 12 am. Some of the Muslim coaches were on fasting, since it was fasting month, but I was surprised that they manage to be so energetic.

There were about 200 students from all around Medan who joined the programme, including students from Sutomo, Methodist-2, Methodist-3, Medan International School, Singapore International School, Piaget, Prime One School, and many more. We were taught to set clear goals and take action until we succeed. It’s not only succeeding in our study, but to succeed in life. The key is to believe that nothing is impossible and to have the bravery to do. Not only that, they showed us many videos from Oprah Winfrey shows to show that some people who are disabled but they have motivation to live life even they are not in good condition.

I found that it was exciting and interesting. Every single little thing that they taught me was really worthy for the cost I had paid. Overall, there is one more video which I can’t forget. The video shows me how brave and kind every mom is. Flash backing to the memories when I scolded her, it was the mistake that I just realized. Actually I didn't want to cry but I did. I saw that how mom struggled to death just to save me was unbelievable, and look what I could do to pay for her kindness, nothing at all. All I can do is just thanking her and make her proud and never make her feel regret for having me. That’s the memory I could never forget.

The last day was the most touching day. The three days I've gone through with the group were fun. We treat one another as one family. But I keep in mind that if there’s a beginning, there’s an end. Parents were all coming to fetch their children. But before that, participants were given the chance to speak in front of everybody and to thank their parents for sending them here. Many participants came out, but I couldn't, because there were too many people waiting in front to grab the microphone one after another. They thank their parents to still love them, although, we, as children, sometimes do the bad things to our mom and dad. Most of them cried badly on the stage. It’s not embarrassing though, what matters was the feeling that parents got when they heard it, and the bravery to do. Even though I didn't thank my parents by standing up on the stage, I ran towards them and hugged them tightly not wanting to let them go and said, “Dad, mom, I love you, and thank you for every thing.” The sentence is ordinary, yet so powerful. The tiring day ended with buckets of tears of joy.

We, my parents, siblings, and I, stayed a night there because it was too late for us to get back to Medan, and the fact that we were all very tired. I somehow missed the moments there so much. I missed my coach, my friends, and everything there. I wished I had a time machine which could bring to that moment and enjoy the addictive feeling there, laughed out loud in the middle of the night and supported every team member. While in reality, we all had to separate and go on with our own life. We were all looking forward to seeing one another next time. We exchanged e-mails to keep in touch. Gladfully, we still keep contact until now. The whole thing was a gift from God, which I thank every second of the day.

I wish I could join this year’s camp too. I wish to meet those people with big smiles, I wish to meet people and cheer them up. I never get bored of telling others this story. This experience means a lot to me. It seems very special to me, very memorable, very valuable. You can’t buy experience with money; all you got to do to have experience is get up and go out of your comfort zone.

Overall, I have learned many lessons, but above all, I learned that age doesn't matter. Many people like to say that young people can’t do anything. It’s not true. There’s no such thing as you were young so you could do nothing. We’re the one who can make tomorrow brighter because we’re the next generation.

That’s all I would like to share for today. Hopefully, I can share more and greater life experience with all of you. Thank you for your time and attention.

EHEH?!

Have been very busy with school stuffs lately so I'm not able to post anything. Sorry for that :) speaking of school stuffs, I'm doing my chemistry research for days yet I couldn't find anything good. It's due tomorrow :/ how come there are no good resources in Bahasa Indonesia? This country should really improve on technology, you know? No offense. I'm not teasing, but I just want movements from this country, like I expect something more than just this. It's as if it can do more, but it doesn't want. Perhaps I must start first. Well, we should move before expecting others to move. But the thing is, I'm not good in making articles, etc. Especially based on what-so-called science :s AAAAA. But for those who are good in it, I beg you to do something about this, pleaseee.

This post is just embarrassing, lame, boring. YES, you want reason?! I tell you: SCHOOL IS DRIVING ME CRAZY. My parents expect good results from me, while my tests this month were horrible. I should realize it sooner -_- no use in blaming what I had done. I spent my time in front of this interesting screen most of the time. G R E A T ! That's the reason. I think that explains all. Don't think that I use the time spent on this thing being so-good daughter, I'm wasting my time. Thank God I don't do it that bad. I was just exaggerating. So yea, bye.

*this post is just very meaningless. I don't mind if you people skip it.

THE FACT.

On my way to my friend's house yesterday, my dad suddenly say, "You know how many times Abraham Lincoln fail?" I was shocked that he says that, it actually fits on my condition right now. He knows me so well :) then he continued, "He rise up whenever he falls, you know? And by the time he reach one big success, nobody will remember the failure he done." Surprisingly, it's so true. We're still dealing with normal humans around us. Humans tend to see the "success" rather than the "failure" of others. But when it comes to themselves, they will remember the "failure" and not the "gift from God" and start complaining. Well, I still do that as I'm a normal one, only the wise people tend to realize that and really measure all of it. It's a little confusing, isn't it? I wanna make it as simple, but I just couldn't find the right sentence to tell :/

What I wanna say is,

"One big success will erase all the bad failure in the past."

You'll see one's person life only in the present, but you never know what happen to them in the past, right? Maybe they pass through a more difficult challenge than you do, higher mountain. So let's just be grateful for whatever happens, God will never give something that's more than what you could possibly do, He understands you more than you do.

Happy Sunday

IT'S NOT THAT BAD.

Since I haven't been posting for quite a while, let me just do a quick one :)

I didn't know what I should write :/ sigh. Why not talk about exams? Yes. Exams are on its way by now. It's really close. See it as an challenge that everyone must get through. I'm actually happy to have exams, you know why? Exams gave us the meaning on being in an upper level. If we pass it, we'll be upgraded. But if you fail, it's not a total disaster, since you're not good enough, learn more. If you didn't pass the first challenge, it's out of mind to succeed on the second challenge, agree? Except for the fact if you're lucky :p HAHAHA.

I think that's quite short LMAO. Should go now! :) Going to remasa in hours, and I'm on my way youtube-ing some funny videos. I find it useful that somebody created Youtube. Back then, I never thought that Youtube is this useful for cheering people up HAHA. Well, now I know.

OH I LOVE HUMOR! It makes me laugh, it makes me happy :D
